چکیده

Total flavones of Selaginella uncinata (Desv.) spring has inhibitory effects on cancer progression. The study aims to analyze the total breast cell tumor properties and possible mechanism. MDA-MB-231 cells were treated with or transfected anti-microRNA-negative control anti-microRNA-1269. In addition, microRNA-negative microRNA-1269 mimics-transfected exposed uncinata. Cell proliferation apoptosis investigated via counting kit-8, colony formation flow cytometry analysis. MicroRNA-1269, cleaved caspase-3 caspase-9 expression was determined through quantitative polymerase chain reaction Western blotting. After treatment, inhibition rate, protein levels increased, number colonies decreased, downregulated in a dose-dependent way. Relative MCF-10A cells, upregulated cells. transfection anti-microRNA-1269, rate but colony-forming ability decreased. treatment mimics uncinata, reduced promoted. can inhibit induce negatively modulating microRNA-1269.

Genistein Induces Apoptosis and Inhibits Proliferation of HT29 Colon Cancer Cells

Soybean isoflavone genistein has multiple anticancer properties and its pro-apoptotic and anti-proliferative effects have been studied in different cancer cells. However, the mechanisms of action of genistein and its molecular targets on human colon cells have not been fully elucidated. Therefore, caspase-3 and p38 mitogen-activated protein kinase (p38 MAPK) as the main therapeutic targets...

Gallic Acid Inhibits Proliferation and Induces Apoptosis in Lymphoblastic Leukemia Cell Line (C121)

AbstractLeukemia is known as the world’s fifth most prevalent cancer. New cytotoxic drugs have created considerable progress in the treatment, but side effects are still the important cause of mortality. Plant derivatives have been recently considered as important sources for the treatment of various diseases, including cancer. Gallic acid (GA) is a polyhydroxyphenolic compound with a wide rang...

MicroRNA-192 targeting retinoblastoma 1 inhibits cell proliferation and induces cell apoptosis in lung cancer cells

microRNAs play an important roles in cell growth, differentiation, proliferation and apoptosis. They can function either as tumor suppressors or oncogenes. We found that the overexpression of miR-192 inhibited cell proliferation in A549, H460 and 95D cells, and inhibited tumorigenesis in a nude mouse model. Both caspase-7 and the PARP protein were activated by the overexpression of miR-192, thu...

MicroRNA 543 suppresses breast cancer cell proliferation, blocks cell cycle and induces cell apoptosis via direct targeting of ERK/MAPK

BACKGROUND Breast cancer affects millions of people with a high mortality rate throughout the world; microRNA 543 (miR-543) has been reported to suppress progression in some kinds of cancers, but has not been reported in breast cancer. Thus, the purpose of this study is to investigate the function of miR-543 in breast cancer cells. METHODS Two cell lines, MCF-7 and MDA-MB-231, were selected t...
